Dear Diary,
My puppies are growing like weeds. Mom and Dad are now feeding them this mushy stuff. It looks really gross but they eat it and when they are done I sneak in and eat what they don't. I am still hungry all the time. Mom says I have over 40 pounds of puppies that I am taking care of.
They are starting to play with me and all the toys mom has for them. They follow me around and we play. Mom says that we are going to take them outside today when she gets home from work. I can't wait. Maybe I can get one to play ball with me.
I still love them. They are my babies and I love to lay with them and let them crawl all over me. Willow is trying to help me take care of them. I let her because she is gentle with them and would never hurt them. Tuck and Much are afraid of my babies. They run when my babies go near them. It is really funny to watch because Much is so big and the babies are so small and he is afraid of them. Oh well, maybe one day he will be brave and play with them.
Well diary, enough for now. Dad wants to go outside and maybe he will throw my ball for me.

Dear Diary
Dear Diary,
Mom keeps taking my babies away from me. She tries to hide them and thinks I don't notice when they are gone. What is she thinking? I can count! and I know how many babies I have. Today she set up a pen in the basement and put my puppies in it. She said they are getting big and it is time to start introducing them to new sights and sounds and things. I don't care about this socializ...whatever it is. I just want to be with my babies. Luckily for mom she let me be with them in the pen and let me get out when I wanted to.
Mom is still bringing people over to see me. We had Deb over today. I like her. She is really nice to me and yesterday we had Siegi over. She pet me and loved on me for a while. I like them. I hope they come back. Of course they played with my babies also but as long as I got attention that is all that matters.
Mom took lots of pictures today and she said I should tell you where to find them so you can see how big my babies are. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that mom groomed Tuck and Willow yesterday and look at all the hair she got out! It looks like it snowed in July. Now I can laugh at them like they laugh at me for not having any undercoat. Ha Ha!

My babies are getting big! They want to eat a lot and I just can't help but get in there with them and feed them. Mom and Dad keep stealing babies from me and taking them out to the couch with them. I am ok with this until they start to cry. Then I have to go and check out what is happening. Sometimes I like to go and lick my babies when dad has one and it starts to cry and dad can't get it settled so he gives it back. It is kinda fun to tease dad that way.
So dad has been home with me and that has been fun. He is always in the box playing with my puppies. At least it gives me a break :) I can go upstairs and play with my brothers and sister.
Did I mention that my babies are starting to walk around? Well they are. Pretty soon they will be running and mom and dad will have to catch us. Hee hee I can't wait for that.
Got to go diary. It is time for my ice cream treat.

My babies are 2 weeks old now and they are really moving. They have gotten so big! They are figuring out how to walk and by the end of the week mom says they will be running! Maybe then we can all play. Mom says she has to go to work on monday but that dad is staying home with me. That's fine, I love my daddy. He lets me get away with lots of things and loves to feed me treats. I think we will have fun these next couple of weeks with dad.

Well it is day 12 of me having babies and I still love them! They have gotten much bigger and eat a lot, but that is ok, I enjoy feeding them and cleaning them. They are so much fun. I only wish I didn't have to feed them at night. I like sleeping with mommy and don't like to get up when they cry. I am trying a new tactic. I am feeding them a lot today so maybe I won't have to feed them at night. I hope it works but I don't think mom will let me do that. She makes me get up when they start crying. Oh well, I do love them.
Their eyes are starting to open. Mom and Dad have made a big deal out of that. So what? now they will be able to see where they are going and what to nurse on and maybe they won't nurse on my skin anymore and just nurse where they are supposed to.
Well time to go, Mom gives me ice cream at this time because she says I am such a good mommy to my babies that I deserve a treat. I like ice cream!

It has been a while since I wrote in you but I am finally getting some time to myself. I love my babies and they love me. I love feeding them and playing with them and cleaning them. When I get in my whelping box they all cry for me and come crawling to me. I just love them.
Guess What? Mom keeps bringing all these very nice people in to see me. I just love all the attention that I have been getting. I take them into my room and show them my babies. They love my babies. I let them hold them and snuggle with them. I keep a watch on them but mom stays there too so I don't have to worry. Mom says my babies are getting big. She says that they are over 2 pounds now and are getting bigger every day! I can't wait until I can take them outside with me and show them how to play ball.
Mom posted some pictures of my babies at their 1 week birthday. Hope you like them!

Hi everyone,
It's Ember's mom, Marti. Ember is busy nursing her eight little babies. I just wanted to share the following video with you all, entitled "EXTREME NURSING."
I don't know how Ember puts up with their antics but she does. The video shows what she has to deal with. The rolling puppies are Dill and Wasabi.

Dear Diary,
I have had these babies for three days now and I think I am in love. I love them. I love their smell, their bottoms and the way they call to me. I can't stand to be away from them. I just love them. I am tired and sore but seeing my babies makes me happy. My belly is gone and mom and dad are feeding me lots of food. I got to see my brothers and sisters again. They wanted to see my babies but I didn't want to share just yet. Mom makes my bed several times a day and sits in there with me which I really like. Mom has even taken to giving me special treats! Last night I had ice cream! It was yummy. I hope I can have some more tonight.
Babies are calling. Have to go and take care of them.

OH MY GOSH!!!! You will never guess what happend to me today!?!?!
These noisy, squeeky, smelly things came out of me. What the Heck! It started last night - I actually woke mom up with one hanging out of me. She called to dad and then to Dr. Amy and they came running. They said I had more in me and that was the reason my belly was so big and why I was feeling pretty bad yesterday. Well they were right, I spat out several more. It took me all night long and mom, dad and Dr. Amy looked pretty rough in the morning but eventually I got eight babies out. Mom says there are seven girls and one boy. WOW! I can't believe that just happend to me. Actually Diary- I kinda like them. They snuggle up to me and I get very worried when they leave me. I think they are going to be fun.
I am tired and it has been a long day so I am going to take a nap.

I think mom is crazy! She was talking to my belly yesterday. It was really strange. It was right before we went to bed (yes, mom is still sleeping downstairs with me) and she was telling all the babies to be good to me. I really think something is wrong with her. Hopefully she will snap out of it. Maybe I should let her get some rest upstairs in her bed. No way, I am training her the way I want her.
Mom keeps sticking that thermometer in me. She said today that my temperature was down and that she was going to check again later to see if it came it up. She seems kinda worried. She said if it didn't come up then I was going to have babies! Diary, what are babies? Is that what my belly is full of? I hope not! All this talk of babies is making me hungry. Maybe I will go and try and get some food from dad. He is always a big sucker when I blink my eyes at him.
